What this guide is about
The assignment is to reproduce up to the most recent date (e.g., end of 2014) the figures from Chapter 2 of the online text for the course ECN301. These are macroeconomic data such as GDP, unemployment, inflation (or Consumer Price Index), interest rates and TSX stock prices. Most of the data can be found in CANSIM. This guide will illustrate how to search and manipulate CANSIM data for the assignment, using one of the topics mentioned.
