Useful Google Search Tips

Here are some useful tips for getting the most out of your Google search:

site:

Adding site: to your search terms will allow you to limit to your search to specific sites. For example: concussion site:.gov. This will search for the word 'concussion' in sites with the domain name .gov, which are government websites.

filetype:

Adding filetype: to your search will limit your search to specific file types like pdf, word, jpeg, etc. For example: concussion site:.gov filetype:pdf. This will search only for PDFs with the word concussion from a government site (this could be a useful way to find a government report or study).

intitle:

Adding intitle: to your search will search for your term within the title of a webpage. For example: intitle:concussion. This will only return results that have the word concussion in the title of the webpage, which can help narrow down the number of results you get.
