This is a guide to the key human rights law materials available through the TMU Library.
Researchers who are investigating a new topic in human rights law are encouraged to start with an encyclopedia, either the Canadian Encyclopedic Digest or Halsbury's. These resources located in Westlaw and Lexis databases link to relevant primary source materials such as case law and legislation.
Books are also available on human rights law topics.
For more on legal databases, case law, legislation, and scholarly journal articles, see the Law Research Guide.
Research help is available for students, faculty, and staff of TMU with legal research questions.
For one-on-one assistance in refining a legal research topic, finding legal information, and using databases and other resources, book a research appointment. Email the law librarians or book a time directly in their calendars during office hours:
Email: for general inquiries, please email lawlibrary@torontomu.ca for assistance with accessing or using legal information resources and one of the Law Library staff will respond to you.
