Open Access Educational Resources Guide

A guide to material that can be freely used in your teaching.

Mix and Match OER and E-Reserve Course Readings

Another way to make your course readings more affordable for students is to use the TMU Library's E-Reserve service in combination with OER's you create or adapt.

Library’s E-Reserve Service

TMU's E-Reserve service lets you make course materials available to your students and ensures those materials have the correct copyright permissions.  Your students will have free, 24/7 online access to course readings in the password protected D2L system.

Each term you teach a course you need to re-order your course readings. The course readings are active in a tab in D2L. E-Reserve primarily uses licensed Library Resources in the form of e-books, newspapers articles, case studies and journal articles, links to public-facing web resources,  and copyright cleared materials, and fair dealing to organize an affordable reading list accessible in D2L.

No costs are passed on to students!
