Borrow from other Omni Libraries
Omni makes borrowing physical materials from other libraries easier. Not only will you be able to search TMU Libraries' collection, but you can also view and borrow from the print collections of 18 partner university libraries across Ontario.
Simply search for what you're looking for under the TMU Libraries+Omni Libraries scope and filter for print materials. Records that show "Not available locally, click for more options" are those from other universities.
Sign-in with your mytorontomu account, and fill out the request form.

Who are the OMNI partner institutions?
In addition to Toronto Metropolitan University, 18 other Ontario universities make up Omni. Omni is a service of the Ontario Council of University Libraries.

Borrow, Pickup and Return Anywhere
Borrow from any Omni library! You can also walk into any one of the 18 Omni partner institutions libraries to browse and borrow books off the shelf: no need to place a request.
With Pickup Anywhere, when you place a request for a physical item in Omni, you’ll be able to choose any one of the 18 Omni partner institutions across Ontario to pick up your item!
Doing a co-op in London for the summer and need a book for your online course? Pick it up at Western’s Weldon library! Conducting research in St. Catharines? You can have books from TMU Libraries sent for pickup at Brock. Just bring your TMU One Card to any partner institution to borrow.
You can also return your books to any Omni partner library and they’ll ship them back to the item-owning Omni library at no cost to you!
Placing a Pickup Anywhere Request
1. When you find a book you want to request from TMU Libraries or another Omni library, sign-in to your account using your mytorontomu account.
2. Next to "REQUEST" choose Request or Get it from another library.
3. Choose your preferred pickup institution and the pickup location at that institution. Then send your request.
4. At any time you can review your requests from the Omni menu by selecting "My Requests".
