ChemSpider is a free chemical structure database providing fast text and structure search access to over 34 million structures from hundreds of data sources.

Compendex is the most comprehensive bibliographic database of scientific and technical engineering research available, covering all engineering disciplines. It includes millions of bibliographic citations and abstracts from thousands of engineering journals and conference proceedings. When combined with the Engineering Index Backfile (1884-1969), Compendex covers well over 120 years of core engineering literature.

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the Learned Society for the chemical sciences, the Professional Body for chemical scientists in the UK, and a major publisher and provider of chemical information worldwide. Twenty-three of these journals have been made available to the Toronto Metropolitan community as members of the Canadian National Site Licensing Project, a Canada-wide initiative to increase the amount and quality of research literature available to Canadian researchers.

Scopus offers access to more that 14,000 scholarly titles including approximately 750 conference proceedings, all journals in Medline, 400 trade publications and also approximately 500 Open Access Journals. In development for more than two years with the collaborative efforts of 300 librarians and researchers, Scopus covers the content of over 4,000 international scientific, technical, medical and social science publishers.

Web of Science is the online version of the Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index.
