Article Processing Charge Discounts
TMU offers researchers Article Processing Fee (APC) discounts or fee waivers which authors typically pay to publish their articles open access. Search by journal title or subject heading in the two resources below.
1) APC discounts are available through the Library's participation in Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) licence agreements. A full listing of current discounts is available from CRKN.
CRKN aims to encourage open access publishing, making Canadian research more accessible to the global community and promoting equitable access to knowledge. This initiative is part of CRKN's commitment to advancing open scholarship and supporting Canadian researchers in disseminating their findings widely.
2) APC discounts and waivers in SciFree:
SciFree lists APC waivers and discounts in all disciplines with support from TMU Libraries.

In the case of multiple authors, the corresponding author affiliation determines the discounts, although this may vary.
Currently, TMU researchers are eligible for all discounts listed, but as licenses change and evolve, there may be cases where discounts listed on this page are not available to TMU.
