CanLII is the most comprehensive publicly available resource for Canadian case law. Within CanLII is it possible to browse by jurisdiction or search for case law. CanLII contains legislation, including statutes and related regulations. It also contains secondary sources including books, journal articles, and case commentary on CanLII Connects.
Subscription Resources for Case Law
TMU students in all disciplines have Library access to Lexis Advance Quicklaw and WestlawNext Canada, two major comprehensive legal research databases. Both contain primary Canadian law including case law and legislation as well as secondary sources including encyclopedias, ebooks, and scholarly articles.

Westlaw is a legal database platform that includes secondary and primary legal sources. It contains statutes, codes, arbitrations, and case law. Westlaw also includes the legal encyclopedias, journals, treatises, and law reviews. It is a source for comprehensive coverage of Canadian case law and legislation.
