Each provincial administers its own bar exam, regulated by the provincial law societies.

Ontario:

The licensing examinations consist of a self-study, multiple-choice, open-book barrister examination and a self-study, multiple-choice, open-book solicitor examination. Candidates may choose to write their examinations in English or French. (More information is available on the LSO website.)
