Art and Architecture in Video, an online streaming film collection, offers over 500 hours of documentaries and interviews illustrating the theory and practice of a variety of art forms and providing the context necessary for critical analysis. Ideal for both undergraduate and graduate courses, the works within this collection offer a dynamic tool to enhance understanding of visual media.

The archive contains thousands of negatives, transparencies and photographs taken for publication in Canadian Architect magazine such as public/private structures, including churches, homes, businesses, airports, government offices and public spaces.

The Image Bank provides an image repository containing 10,000 photographs of the Canadian built environment. It also contains educational resources related to Canadian architecture and architectural photography.

RIBApix

RIBApix offers images from collections of the Royal Institute of British Architect's British Architectural Library. The database includes world architecture with related subjects such as interior design, landscape, topography, planning, construction and the decorative arts.

Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art collects, preserves, organizes, and disseminates images documenting the rich history of the Museum, its collection, exhibitions, events, people, and activities. Many of these images are available to be licensed for study, editorial, and commercial usage.

Smithsonian

The SIRIS Image Gallery contains a sampling of visual records that are part of the Collections Search Center. The Image Gallery includes over 530,000 electronic images from several archival repositories and museums at the Smithsonian. 

VADS

VADS is the online resource for visual arts. It has provided services to the academic community for 12 years and has built up a considerable portfolio of visual art collections comprising over 100,000 images that are freely available and copyright cleared for use in learning, teaching and research in the UK.
