Using Toronto's Libraries for Your Research

What do they have for TMU Students?

The Dorothy H. Hoover Library supports the general study and practical research in contemporary art and design and related knowledge areas. TMU students in Image Arts may be interested in their collection of exhibition catalogues, design annuals, and books intended for inspiration such as the Inspiration by the 1000s guide or the Weird & Wonderful! guide. They also have a collection of rare books and artist books.

Even More Resources

In addition to the Dorothy H. Hoover Library, OCAD U has an additional library space at The Learning Zone located at 113 McCaul St. on level 1. Access is restricted to OCAD U students and faculty except during public events, exhibitions, and to view the Zine Library. OCAD U has also created a great list of libraries for art research in Toronto.

The Zine Library in the Learning Zone at OCAD U is a special collection of self-published and handmade objects. TMU students and faculty with an interest in zines, book history, literary culture, alternative culture, and self-publishing may find the collection useful. For more information, please see the Zine Library Guide or the OCAD Zine Library Facebook page.
