The TIFF Reference Library has the world's largest resource of English-language Canadian film and film-related materials, and a wide range of local, national and international film resources. It also has more than 60,000 film production files, which include materials such as press releases, advertising, and production information for specific films. Other materials in the collection include books, journals, images, posters, soundtracks, and scripts.
The TIFF collection will primarily be of interest to Image Arts students focusing on film, although any student who simply needs to view films as research will find the TIFF library collection valuable.
The TIFF Reference Library has special collections available to researchers with a special interest. They include original archival records, with some video and audio recording copies, and some published materials or printed matter. The published materials consist of press clippings, festival catalogues and personal or corporate library content. Other printed matter may include programs, marketing materials, press kits, catalogues and ephemera.
