Using Toronto's Libraries for Your Research

Access

TMU students, faculty and staff are able to apply for a York University External Borrower card. In order to obtain a card, please present a valid TMU OneCard and an additional piece of identification. Cards can be issued at the Bronfman, Frost, Law and Scott circulation desks. For each academic year, the card issued is valid until September 15 and allows one to borrow up to 15 books for a 2-week loan period and to renew items twice only.

In addition, TMU students may access electronic resources and databases with a guest account. This guest account is separate from the borrowing card. Guest accounts are valid for 24 hours and can only be used on a York University computer. In order to obtain a Guest Account, a guest must read the guest account information policy and present a piece of government-issued photo ID (excluding a health card). Guest accounts may be issued at: the Scott welcome desk, plus the Bronfman, Frost and Steacie circulation desks.

York University materials are also available to all students, staff, and faculty through interlibrary loan.
