  • Health data can be restricted to protect the confidentiality of respondents
  • Not all data sources are created with the same measures
  • Data methods and collection vary depending on who is collecting the data
  • Municipal, provincial or federal government, medical or health authorities collect data separately 
  • Data from different countries often must be harmonized by international agencies
  • Some nations have a greater capacity to collect data
  • Consider if data is being excluded or used to convey a specific story
