Print Journalism

The TMU Library provides access to a large number of sources for local, national, and international print journalism, including newspapers, weekly news magazines, and monthly magazines.

If you are looking for a specific publication, you can check for it using the "Journals and Newspapers" tab in our "Search Everything" tool.

Search for newspaper articles

 

This search will do a basic search of articles from newspapers.  

For a more focused search, use one of our newspaper databases or search within specific newspapers. To search for the headlines on a particular day or in a particular region, use Factiva.

Search for magazine articles or other content types

You can also use the "Search Everything" tool on the library home page to filter your results to other types of publications, including magazines, scholarly journals, or trade publications. To limit your search results to specific types of publications, use the "Content Type" filter on the left side of the search results screen.

Search for a Specific Publication

From the Library homepage, use the Journals and Newspapers tab to search for a title, for example "The New Yorker."

The years of coverage and access links are listed for each title. Click on the link with the fullest coverage or relevant years. Once you click through you will be able to browse by issue or search within the title.
