Organizations

Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women - CRIAW-ICREF is a research institute which provides tools to facilitate organizations taking action to advance social justice and equality for all women. CRIAW-ICREF recognizes women’s diverse experiences and perspectives; creates spaces for developing women’s knowledge; bridges regional isolation; and provides communication links between/among researchers and organizations actively working to promote social justice and equality for all women.

LEAF - Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (CA) - LEAF focuses on litigation, law reform, and public education.  In particular, we seek to advance gender equality by challenging laws, policies, and practices that discriminate against equality guarantees enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, most notably sections 15 and 28.

Women's Human Rights Resources Programme (Bora Laskin Law Library) - WHRR collects, organizes, and disseminates information on women's human rights law to facilitate research, teaching and cooperation. The information introduces women's human rights law in general, emphasizes selective international and Canadian topics, and explores the interconnections between domestic and international human rights law.

UNWomen - UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women was established to accelerate progress on meeting their needs worldwide.
