Mergent Online offers company financials for over 25,000 U.S. active and inactive companies as well as international companies. Included are current and retrospective financial statements, long-term debt, corporate history, property, subsidiaries, officers and directors, and annual reports from globally listed companies. . The “Mergent Private Company Search” tab provides access to Dun and Bradstreet's Million Dollar Directory, containing brief information. For a large selection of U.S. and international publicly-traded companies Mergent Online provides profitability, liquidity, debt-management, asset-management and per-share ratios. Connect to the Mergent Online basic search page. In the company search box, Enter ticker or company name, and select the desired company. At the company home page select Financials, then Ratios.

Factiva, a Dow Jones & Reuters Company, provides access to global and local newspapers, magazines, industry-specific journals and newsletters, newswires, media programs, and websites. Financial reports are available for public companies (balance sheet, cash flow, income statements, key ratios, etc.) Current quotes and market data are available. Factiva, also provides standard ratios on relative valuations; financial strength; profitability; effectiveness and efficiency, for a large selection of U.S. and international companies. Select the Companies/Markets tab, and search by either company name or ticker. In the left menu of the company snapshots screen, select Financial Results. Select Key Ratios from the drop-down menu.

Lexis/Nexis Academic focuses primarily on business, legal and news resources. Included in the database are law reports, company filings, journal and newspaper articles, broadcast transcripts, etc.
LexisNexis Academic may provide valuation, operational and earnings ratios for a large selection of publicly-traded U.S. and international companies. One effective way to access company ratios: In the Get Company Information box, type the company name or ticker and click GO. From the results, select the appropriate public company's name. In the left menu of the company Snapshot screen, select Financials, then Overview. Scroll down to the Ratios section.
