Lexis/Nexis Academic is a full-text database which focuses primarily on business, legal and news resources, and contains numerous company profiles. A limited amount of swots may be available – worth a try. One method of searching for a swot employs the Enter Search Terms box on the main landing page. Simply type: swot and the company name, then Search. A second method involves the following: (a) On connecting to LexisNexis select ‘Search by Subject or Topic’, (b) select ‘Market or Industry Reports’, (c) select ‘Advanced Options’. In the Build Your Segment drop-down, select Company and type the company's name in the brackets. Outside (at right of) the brackets type- and swot. Click Apply. Your terms will load in the main Search-box where you can click Search.

Passport, from Euromonitor International, contains demographic, economic and marketing statistics for over 200 countries. The historic and forecast data enable you to analyze and compare countries. Passport contains a range of lifestyle indicators such as disposable income availability, consumer expenditure trends, eating and drinking habits, home ownership statistics, and health data. Included are market research reports on industries, consumer lifestyles, retailing and travel. Passport may contain SWOTS related to the strategy of the firm (group) globally. One example of a search: From the top menu, select Industries> In the Search Tree, select alcoholic drinks> In the Analysis Finder, select Company Profiles, All Geographies, World. Then GO. You many note ...Busch. In the left menu, under strategic evaluation, select SWOT. Conduct a similar search in Industries and instead of World, select the local country. Results will be fewer at the local level. However, other analysis may be helpful in deriving swot-related information. Always try to verify and update information found.

This can be a starting point as you review and update information in additional sources.
